We've had no heat for days. Were bad and let the oil level get low. And not even an emergency oil pack is allowing the boiler to cough up.
You can see your breath inside in the mornings. And our olive oil has congealed.
Have re-discovered the joys of vests and fingerless gloves.
But all hail King Padzor, for he brought home a borrowed halogen heater. Toasty! |

Hey kidlets!
I bought a Wii. Didn't really intend to but was walking past Woolworths just as they put up the signs that said they had some in stock :-)
So much fun! I kicked ass at bowling, ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=88.8) padzor ruled at baseball and hello_chris beat us soundly at golf, boxing and tennis. New housemate Peter (aka Boy-Debs) apparently has a Wii age of 59. Will have to see if I can beat that.

Behind the cut are some pictures of the scarf. Very good fun to knit, and an excellent pattern to ease you into shortrows. It was good to watch my mother pick up my knitting to try and figure out how the pattern worked.

Roo and I scrumped some apples* and made them into proto-cider. 'Tis bubbling away quite nicely now. Check back with me in December or so to see if it tastes nice :-)
* And rather less excitingly begged some from my parents. And bought some from the Co-op. Making cider takes more apples than you'd think... |

I went jogging today. First time ever. It nearly killed me (seriously, my throat still feels cheesegrater-y).
I'm going again tomorrow.
In other news, QUB is full of students again. Start of a new semester, and I get the supremely happy task of going stationery shopping.
Two films that I've seen recently that I'd like to recommend:

2) An Inconvenient Truth
